A building ensemble consisting of three building parts is being realized on the Pragsattel in Stuttgart in the immediate vicinity of the Killesberg. The planning takes place with regard to ecological and sustainable aspects in accordance with the applicable ENEV2014. The meandering shape of the buildings creates new city quarters and exciting urban open spaces. Two of the buildings contain around 250 new apartments, starting with micro apartments, 1- to 5-room apartments, through junior and penthouse apartments to two-story townhouses. The third building mainly comprises commercial space with a daycare center and flexibly divisible office space with efficient room depths. A structural challenge here is the almost complete decoupling of vibrations from an underground railway line. This is achieved with decoupling mats between the subsoil and the structure. The sound emission of the nearby theater also poses further structural challenges. The size of the project also requires a large number of components – a forward-looking, systematic planning in the 3D CAD area was therefore urgently required.
Ambitious construction project in Stuttgart.
