The new “Production facility for thin-film corrosion protection systems” in Lüdenscheid combines production, support, technology, chemistry, storage, logistics, delivery and office areas in a building measuring 104 x 96 m on a total area of 11,200 m². In correspondence with the adjacent Autobahn A45 Dortmund – Olpe, the white meandering facade tape, which varies in height and width, wraps itself around the overall structure as a structurally dynamic counterpart. The functional units are summarized in this way and form a unit.
This design element is also continued on the inside through specifically used design elements.
The property was awarded WINNER in the Excellent Communications Design – Architecture section of the GERMAN DESIGN AWARDS 2018.
